Bald Eagle State Park




Visitors may choose from a wide selection of recreational opportunities which include: swimming, picnicking, boating, fishing, water-skiing, hiking, both primitive and modern camping, environmental education programs, ice fishing, ice skating, cross country skiing, sled and tobogganing, boat rentals and a marina with 368 marina dockage spaces. A variety of hiking trails are available at the park including the park's 1.5 mile long Butterfly Trail. These trails total 7.5 miles and are also available for cross-country skiing.

Recommended Activities

  • Take advantage of walks and hikes lead by the park environmental education specialist.
  • Hike the park's 1.5 mile long Butterfly Trail.
  • Ice Fishing and Ice Boating: Crappies, bluegill and large and small mouth bass are the predominant species of game fish.
  • Approximately 11.5 miles of trail are available for cross-country skiing.
