Bastrop State Park




The park provides opportunities for backpacking, camping, picnicking, fishing, canoeing, swimming, golfing, bicycling, wildlife viewing, hiking, and special tours. It is the site of the famous "Lost Pines," an isolated timbered region of loblolly pine and hardwoods. Bastrop State Park is 3503.7 total acres (land acreage, 3493; water acreage, 10); approximately 30 miles southeast of Austin in Bastrop County.

Recommended Activities

  • Take the Houston Toad Tour - a guided night time interpretive tour is available during the toads' breeding season (January - March).
