Beltzville State Park ![]() Beltzville State Park is a 2,972 acre facility developed around the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flood control project, Beltzville Dam, in Carbon County. Beltzville Lake is 7 miles long, 949 acres with a shoreline of 19.8 miles. Recreational facilities are a result of a cooperative effort of the Corps of Engineers, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of State Parks, and the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The park is located along the Pohopoco Creek with recreation areas around the lake. The Lake features fishing, swimming, water sports and unlimited horsepower boating. Along the shore you can sometimes find fossils. A hike along Wild Creek Trail leads to waterfalls and Sawmill Trail wanders through mature forests by a lovely creek.
