Popular species of this lake include yellow perch, bluegill, northern pike, crappie, largemouth bass, catfish, muskellunge and tiger muskellunge. Rainbow trout are stocked seasonally. Approximately 2,900 acres of Codorus State Park are open to hunting, trapping and the training of dogs during established seasons. Common game species are deer, pheasant, rabbit, squirrel and waterfowl. One of the largest swimming pools in the state and a wading pool are open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, unless posted otherwise. Winter activites include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, sledding, ice fishing, and ice boating.
