Devil's Lake State Park

Devil's Lake State Park is situated along what is known as the Ice Age Trail, a state-wide trail that allows visitors to explore and enjoy the natural glacial landscape of Wisconsin. Organized in part by the Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation, the trail spans nearly 470 miles and makes its way through 5 state parks.

Also a well known climbing area, Devil's Lake offers hard quartzite cliffs with a variety of rock forms. Most climbs can be top-roped; lead climbers should carry a full rack since bolts and pitons are illegal in the park.

Recommended Activities

  • Hike the Ice Age Trail to see some of the spectacular geologic work of the Wisconsin Ice Sheet.
