Experienced climbers will enjoy the cliffs of Stone Mountain where climbing is permitted in designated areas. All climbers must register before starting out. No new bolts are to be placed in the rock. Contact the park office for more information. The weathering action of nature has created a mini-moonscape on this dome-shaped granite mass. Gentle streams, trails, and the sheer rock face create a haven for anglers, hikers and climbers.

• Listen to the melody of rushing water as it flows among boulders and narrow walls of stone.
• Take the bridle trail which travels approximately 5 miles from a gravel area near the East Prong Roaring River to the John P. Frank Parkway.
