Cuivre River State Park

Cuivre River State Park encompasses much of the rugged, wooded terrain that surrounds Big Sugar Creek in the southern Lincoln Hills. The 6,393-acre park includes a 55-acre lake and more than 38 miles of hiking trails. Horseback riding is allowed on 19 miles of these trails and a campground is provided for the riders. In addition to extensive hardwood forests, visitors may enjoy several areas where native prairies are being restored. There is a visitor center with exhibits that illustrate the cultural and natural history of the park. Three group camps are located in the park, and are available for rental by organized groups.
