Elephant Rocks State Park

Giant granite rocks a billion years old stand end-to-end like a train of red circus elephants in this 129-acre state park. The first self-guiding Braille trail for the visually impaired in Missouri state parks winds through the geologic wonder. The gentle slopes of the paved trail also make it accessible to elderly visitors. Shaded picnic grounds and a small fishing lake make the day-use park fun for family picnics and other activities.

Recommended Activities

  • Take the self-guiding trail through the giant one billion year old granite rocks to learn more about this geologic wonder.
  • Enjoy a quiet picnic near the shores of a small lake.
