Hercules Glades Wilderness

Located within the Mark Twain National Forest of southwestern Missouri, Hercules Glades Wilderness provides 12,000 acres of recreational opportunity. Here, where the dense eastern red cedar and oak forest gives way to native prairie glades, visitors will find 42 miles of horseback riding and hiking trails. Trails offer the visitor the opportunity for isolation and challenging recreation while the contrasting ecosystems create beautiful scenery year-round. Hercules Glades offers group camping, picnicking, restrooms, and fantastic scenic views.
