Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park

Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park is a nine-acre waterfront park along the East River in Brooklyn. Located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, simple landscaping of lawn, plantings and a riverfront boardwalk provides visitors a place to picnic, stroll, read, view the ships traversing the river or enjoy the sun. Bordering part of the park are landmark Civil War-Era coffee and tobacco warehouses, which played an integral part of the great shipping activities which once dominated the entire Brooklyn waterfront.

An outdoor sculpture show turns the Park into an Art Gallery each summer. Photographers can be seen year-round filming the spectacular view of the lower Manhattan skyline for personal memories as well as major movie features.

Recommended Activities

  • In the summertime, visit the park's outdoor sculpture show which gives the park a festive atmosphere.
  • Stroll along the riverfront boardwalk enjoying the sun or watching the ships traversing the river.
