Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge ![]() Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 3,400 acres along 12 miles of the Concord and Sudbury Rivers. The site has been called one of the best inland birding areas in all of MA by noted ornithologists. The 2.7 miles of trails let you see a variety of habitats, wildlife and plant species. Today, the Refuge is managed to maximize its benefit to migratory birds and native plants. Many migratory birds nest here, and a variety of native species also inhabit the refuge. The Refuge consists of 2 units of land - Weir Hill Area and Unit - bordering on 7 historically significant towns. Regions Recommended Activities
